What an induction bearing heater does
An induction bearing heater (also called a bearing induction heater or bearing heating machine) expands a bearing, gear, coupling or ring by heating it, so the part slides onto the shaft without force. The heater generates an electromagnetic field that heats the workpiece itself, not the surrounding air. Compared with an oven, hot plate or oil bath, heating is faster, cleaner and easier to control: no open flame, no oil, and a set temperature that is held automatically.
TM Induction Heating has designed and built induction heaters in Harderwijk, the Netherlands, since 1992. More than 50,000 induction heaters have been sold worldwide, and many are still in use today, from small workshops to wind turbine and railway maintenance.
